<p class="">1. Open the PowerApps canvas app in edit mode. </p>

<p class="">2. Select &#8216;Delete All&#8217; button and click on Advanced properties on right side pane. </p>

<p class="">3. Use the below expression on the &#8216;OnSelect&#8217; property.</p>

<pre class="wp-block-code"><code>Collect(
collect_employees_tobe_deleted, Filter('employee',department_id = Value(var_department_id))

<p class=""><strong>Collect Employees to be Deleted</strong></p>

<p class="">The first line of code utilizes the <code class="">Collect</code> function to create a collection named <code class="">collect_employees_tobe_deleted</code>. This collection will store the employee records that belong to the department specified by the <code class="">var_department_id</code> variable.</p>

<p class="">Here&#8217;s the breakdown of the <code class="">Collect</code> function:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li class=""><code class="">collect_employees_tobe_deleted</code>:&nbsp;This is the name of the collection to be created.</li>

<li class=""><code class="">Filter('employee', department_id = Value(var_department_id))</code>:&nbsp;This is the filtering criteria used to select the employees to be deleted.&nbsp;It filters the&nbsp;<code class="">'employee'</code>&nbsp;table based on the&nbsp;<code class="">department_id</code>&nbsp;field,&nbsp;selecting only the records where&nbsp;<code class="">department_id</code>&nbsp;matches the value of the&nbsp;<code class="">var_department_id</code>&nbsp;variable.</li>
</ul>

<p class=""><strong>Remove Selected Employees</strong></p>

<p class="">The second line of code utilizes the <code class="">ForAll</code> function to iterate through the <code class="">collect_employees_tobe_deleted</code> collection and remove each employee record from the <code class="">'employee'</code> table.</p>

<p class="">Here&#8217;s the breakdown of the <code class="">ForAll</code> function:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li class=""><code class="">collect_employees_tobe_deleted As A</code>:&nbsp;This defines the variable&nbsp;<code class="">A</code>&nbsp;that will hold each employee record from the&nbsp;<code class="">collect_employees_tobe_deleted</code>&nbsp;collection as it iterates through the collection.</li>

<li class=""><code class="">Remove('employee', LookUp('employee', employee_id= A.employee_id));</code>:&nbsp;This line removes the employee record corresponding to the&nbsp;<code class="">employee_id</code>&nbsp;value of the current&nbsp;<code class="">A</code>&nbsp;variable from the&nbsp;<code class="">'employee'</code>&nbsp;table.&nbsp;The&nbsp;<code class="">LookUp</code>&nbsp;function retrieves the employee record based on the&nbsp;<code class="">employee_id</code>&nbsp;value.</li>
</ul>

<p class="">In summary, this code first collects all employees belonging to the specified department and then removes each of those employees from the <code class="">'employee'</code> table. This effectively removes all employees from the specified department from the data source.</p>

<p class="">Microsoft PowerApps simplifies app creation with templates, connectors, and third-party apps. Its popularity among developers is due to its ability to perform CRUD operations and support most data sources, including on-premises. Once the app is developed, you may want to migrate it to another environment like dev to test. This article describes how to export and import PowerApps Canvas apps from one environment to another.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Export PowerApps package</h2>

<p class="">Follow the below steps to export an existing PowerApps package.</p>

<p class="">1. Launch the PowerApps <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-apps" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">portal</a> and navigate to the apps. </p>

<p class="">2. Navigate the PowerApps you want to export and click the Elips icon {&#8230;}. Click on the Export package, as shown in the image below.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="594" data-attachment-id="6762" data-permalink="https://azureops.org/articles/export-and-import-powerapps/export-powerapps-package/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?fit=1225%2C606&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="1225,606" data-comments-opened="0" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="Export-PowerApps-package" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?fit=1200%2C594&amp;ssl=1" src="https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=1200%2C594&#038;ssl=1" alt="export powerapps app to another environment" class="wp-image-6762" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=1200%2C594&amp;ssl=1 1200w, https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=300%2C148&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=768%2C380&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=450%2C223&amp;ssl=1 450w, https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?resize=600%2C297&amp;ssl=1 600w, https://i0.wp.com/azureops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Export-PowerApps-package.png?w=1225&amp;ssl=1 1225w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></figure>

<p class="">3. Under &#8216;Review Package Content,&#8217; provide the package name and environment where the app will be stored.
