Azure SQL database is a managed SQL Server database service in Azure. The system time for Azure SQL Database currently defaults to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). That means GETDATE() function returns the current UTC DateTime. To get the Current date in Azure SQL database in the local time zone, we can create the below scaler function.

AT TiME ZONE converts an input date to the corresponding datetimeoffset value in the target time zone. For example, the above function returns the current DateTime of (UTC+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Riga, Sofia, Tallinn, Vilnius.
